This is indeed the list of democratic proposals from New York State.
These proposals would have made every single semiautomatic handgun, all semiautomatic rifles, and most self-defense shotguns illegal or useless.
It would also cause a large market for 5 round magazines, as all semiautomatic handguns would be single shot (or less) without them.
The state approved re-licensing and registration is the deep dark secret here. We all know they want confiscation, but without a database of guns and owners, that's impossible.
