Did anyone else happen to catch the program this evening? I just caught the last minute or so when I happened to jump back in my truck. From what I caught, they were flabbergasted by simply how easy to get and cheap "bullets" are. Thought there should be a special tax on ammo and that if "bullets" cost more then it would help cut down on murders. I think their example was 9mm and how easy and plentiful they are....guess the show was produced like a few years ago  But anyway, yeah if "bullets" were twice as much, it would keep criminals from buying as much. If ignorance is bliss, these people are walking on the gold carpet to the pearly gates...WOW
I'm sure your "average" murderer/criminal really takes into consideration ammo cost..."Oh damn, I can't go out poppin caps in asses at those prices"

When the guest said she was amazed that 9mm was less than a dollar per round I thought, she obviously hasn't stumbled upon gunbroker

    Haha.

I like NPR a lot actually. Of course, they're left leaning and the number of Obama supporters on their show outnumber the non-supporters by about 50:1. However, there is still a lot of great information on there pertaining to other things. I think the people running the various shows do a decent job of hearing all sides and not becoming belligerent if they disagree.

Similar to what I was thinking.

NPR has some great stuff, and some government propaganda stuff. You gotta turn it off sometimes before it makes you want to pull your hair out.

I like PBS and have never really listed to NPR. It was Chris Rock that jokingly said "f!@# gun control. I like guns. We need some bullet control." Some people apparently took him seriously.

was it Chris rock who said they they should cost 5 grand?

Yea...And if we taxed sugar and charged 100.00 a pound...there would be less obesity in America.

If we made the cell phone companies charge 10.00 per text message....Teenagers would get in fewer accidents caused by texting while driving.

If alcohol had a 10.00 per can tax...there would be fewer DUIs

If gasoline was taxed where a gallon would cost 20.00.....There would be fewer traffic accidents.

There is no end to any of this sort of twisted logic.

We should just impose a tax of say, $10.00 per cup of Starbucks..........That'd get the liberals attention!! lol :bowrofl:

Just think of the small debt the country would be under, if there was a tax on politicians proposing useless ignorant laws that don't help our country, other than creating more loopholes to the already useless laws !!!! Wait, wait, wait,.....what if we put taxes on the stupid **** people do/say about everyday life......I think the latter would fit the Libs best, but the Reps are letting their skirts fly up too these days !!!!
