I'm not really surprised by this. I don't think anyone would be surprised if Dems, in any state legislative body, put language into a proposed bill that would lead to the confiscation of guns; gun control has become a mainstay of their core beliefs.

It is a bit tinfoil to believe widespread confiscation could ever actually happen. Even liberal NY republicans said "he'll no". So what if a senator or group of super left senators proposed it? They got shouted down in a Very liberal state. That should give you hope for the nation.

Said nothing about widespread confiscation, only NY, that tin foil is on you.

Look at what was proposed and what actually happended. They propose 5 rounds and settle of seven, 3 down from the 10 it already was. It's a slippery slope, and everything you give in a compromise will sooner or later lead to another until all is gone.

I am a firm believer in states rights, if the jack legs in NY want that, so be it.

If anything, its just a wake up call that these people are out there, and they mean business, and **** on the rights of every American.

Where it could become a problem is if just a handful of liberal states successfully pass laws allowing confiscation of guns, and then, those laws survive court challenges at the state level. At that point, you could have Progressive lawmakers, at the federal level, attempting to force gun confiscation laws on the entire country, and siting "Precedent", at the state level, if and when the federal laws are challenged at the U.S. Supreme Court. At the moment, we have a slight numerical advantage in the Supreme Court, but if the "O" gets the chance to replace some of the conservative judges with liberals, then gun owners would be in trouble.


While there is only the most outside chance of this situation happening, it is still remotely possible...

It's funny that anyone can say it's tinfoil to believe they won't our can't confiscate our guns.. To think that out can't be done is irresponsible in my mind.. The communist liberals, the leftists socialists are trying to do just that.. Go ahead, keep on believing it can't happen.. I'm sure the Jews felt the same way just before the holocaust..

I think the word "PLEADS" as the article title was a bit much for the recommendation of the speaker
