Ticket holders cannot ccw during sporting events as per Superdome policy. An off-duty LEO may always respond to a crime and enter with a firearm.

    NOLA/Northshore!
A Leo can carry on a plane legally. It's understood that you have to clear it with TSA first for good measures, but nonetheless you can. There is no reason why you shouldn't be able to in the super dome. Either they use an umbrella policy or they consider the primary commodity sold as alcohol.

There are a ton of TSA/FAA regulations you MUST abide by, the policy was recently changed, and local LEOS cannot just run down and jump on a plane with a gun. You must go through your chain of command and obtain the proper paperwork and abide by the policy in order to fly armed. Flying armed however in many cases is more a hassle than it's worth. I do it only when absolutely necessary.

The owner of the Louisiana Super-dome in LA is the Louisiana Stadium/Expo District and Glenn Menard is the manager

Splitting hairs, but the LSED is a state agency that operate facilities (in the Dome's case, they hired SMG to operate/manage it). The building is owned by the State. Glenn Menard is an SMG employee, not LSED.

    According to their HR specialist:
La. R.S. 40:1796 and La. R.S. 95.5 serve as limitations on 18 U.S.C. 926B and 926C. Therefore, qualified and retired law enforcement officers do not have the right to carry a weapon inside the Mercedes Benz Superdome and/or the New Orleans Arena.

I'm calling dumbass on this one, as the SD isn't private property..but what do I care? You couldn't pay me to go to the SD for anything. Especially after having the "management" there tell me LEs who are carrying off-duty are not welcome.

Not any LEO can, there are stipulations, As far as the Fed's I am a lead firearms instructor and cover this in classes. The FAA fills out a form and it is then channeled eventially down to your department. In my agencywe are all covered by LEOSA however there are only around 160 staff that can carry on their person on a plane. They have to go through a specific qualification course, then The employee is issued a specific ID Number for the form. If the FAA form gets to our Central Office and the employee was not certified by the FAA then they will have a bad few days off or whatever sanction they will get. Also it is ultimatley up to the captain of the aircraft, never heard one saying no but FAA ruls apply.

You can take you firearm with you on vacation but it has to go into checked baggage unless you fit the bill above!

Now when LEOSA first came out there were a few LEO's the FAA let carry onboard but then the FAA implemented the tracking proceedures to control it a little more closley with the ID numbers and course requirements.
