    I've never seen one....

But then again, I never looked either. ;)

Found this stolen quote from another forum:
As a Gunsmith and a Dealer, I can tell you that Ruger does not make a left-handed version of their popular Model10-22
    Semi-automatic Rifle.

He goes on to say that ruger designed the rifle to be safe to be fired by normal people and lefty's too. The casing ejects straight out from the chamber, not backwards as some other rifles. Optional for a lefty are good shooting glasses, and an aftermarket brass deflector to make you feel better.

I find it odd that you can purchase a left handed aftermarket stock for a gun that ejects right....but that just reinforces the idea that it can shoot either way....

I also considered for a moment the possibility of a custom job, but the work is too much. Not only having a custom receiver cut, you'd need a completely reversed bolt, extractor, barrel <because it's notched for the extractor>, etc. Basically, you'd be designing a gun from scratch.

One of my best friends shoots lefty and has never complained of any problems with his

He don't get hit in the face with the brass, I'm right handed but my daughter and wife or left handed, they want a 22 auto for plinking and my rem 550 hits them in the face when the shot it. Im curious as to how the 10/22 ejects.

What about the safety button? Can it be activated or deactivated by a lefty?

Good ? But the safty cant be anymore difficult than my rem 870 or 700, my daughter has no problems with them other than having to lower them to work the action so not to be hit in the face.
