    Gotta make money, it does them no good to produce something that isn't selling no matter how good of a gun it is. I can see both sides to this, but ultimately, I'd side with Ruger. They can't stay afloat on customers thinking really hard about buying a gun but never pulling the trigger.

    Yes, that is why I said they are considering other avenues, but they might bring them back every once in a while. Ruger is pretty sound financially at this time. They had significant numbers of both the red Hawk and #1 standard sold. It is not that they were not selling the Redhawk or # 1 Standard, they were the easiest for Ruger to cut from production so they could produce some other guns without adding facilities or personal. I think they will have special runs once they have produced a certain number of the new items.

    I've always thought ruger was under appreciated. I like their stuff but I can imagine with the huge rise of other companies they are faced with tough decisions.
