Wow, did not know they were hitting people in the head to steal guns. Sounds like a place I would not like to be, CC or OC.

Living in OP now is a lot safer than it used to be. Seems like the only people that get mugged act like tourists.

I see people open carrying on patrol all the time.... As far as people being freaked out or nervous.... oh well....Just be sure to only carry in places that it is permitted.

Regarding making arrests on just sworn statements... happens all the time...

My real problem with OC is that many of them (certainly it seems that way online) are there for the attention and to cause problems for the police. They seem to want the police to be called so they can make a video of an uninformed officer. Worse yet are the ones fishing for a lawsuit for an improper arrest (What was that guy's name in Gonzales? the one that used the money to buy a new harley? Michael?).

Agreed. Open carry just draws unwanted attention to oneself. Concealed carry is the way to go IMHO.

I open carry at home on my property but carry concealed everywhere else.

Or leave them at home . Also , he had his shirt tail out , but tucked behind the holster so the whole world could see it . He has a "reputation" in the neighborhood .

Most people aren't looking for printing and, therefore, don't notice it. It's difficult to not notice open carry. But I agree with your advice. Get a permit and call it a day.
