I'm wanting to get into skeet shooting and possibly start hunting with my father-in-law & my brother-in-law. The Supernova has caught my eye and I'm very interested. Also would like to add another weapon for possible SHTF scenarios or HD. I want a good, reliable shotgun that will be fun to shoot. Anyone have experience with this gun?

That's like a nightmare for Customer Service

There are a few guns that can be FORCED into the different disciplines you've listed above,
and the Nova could indeed be that gun.

Very much open. Considering 870, Supernova, BPS, etc. Just shopping pump actions. I was attracted to the Benelli from reviews I have read and just wanted opinions and suggestions from fellow BS members.

IMO, Beretta is the be all & end all of any discussion involving shotguns. Followed closely by the Remington 870.

Everything else is either a cheap knock off or an expensive knock off.

I shoot a BPS on our duck hunts and LOVE it. It is a PITA to clean though. If you want a jack of all trades shotty the mossberg flex seems like a winner. I'd also consider what MOTOR51 said, an 870 with two barrels would be a good setup. I'd only pick the mossberg over the 870 because I prefer the tang safety.
