Carried one for roughly 6 months.
Tiny, super comfy, easily concealed, & highly recommend carrying an extra mag.

Last class I attended a friend brought his 43 for me to play with. Never thought I would consider a single stack Glock but shooting it changed my mind. I have no problem carrying a 26-20 but that little 43 was tempting. It's a Glock and I'm sure the 42 would perform just the same. I'm sure you would have no problem selling it if you don't like it. They usually go for about $750 on bayoushooter. Lol

I mainly carry my 43 nowadays, it's way to easy to carry. It's the same size as the 42. It's my favorite stock hand gun to shoot. My friend has the 42 that I've shot a few times; both are great shooting guns. I have +2's on all of my Glock mags.

I have both a 42 and a 43 and I will say that the 42 fits my hand perfectly. They are both a pleasure to carry. I think both are good carry guns and with the plethora of mag extensions out there you would be good to go. Below is a picture of my boys. They have Hyve mag extensions on them. Love the feel of them.
P.s. I don't know how someone above says they are the same size. They are not.

Carry mine all the time in a Geaux Hard iwb holster, it's my favorite carry gun. I have a 43 as well, but the 42 carries better

What are you pricing? Most 42 I've seen on here are 4-450. I bought a nib one for my daughter for $400.

I keep a DB9 in my truck. The 42 is a bit bigger and a lot more pleasant to shoot. Can't comment on carrying.

I'm not a Glockster. Have shot the G42 many times and just feel there are a lot of other choices out there that I like better. Sig, Kahr, S&W, Ruger, Colt, Remington...lots of little good quality .380's out there to carry which are easy on the eyes and fun to shoot. Personally, I think the best value in a good looking quality .380 is the Bersa Thunder (A PPK lookalike for under $300.) Just my humble opinion, of course. :D

Bonephish, Purchasing a defensive pistol for looks and choosing a Bersa over a Glock is too funny.

Either I keep the G26 or I get a G42 . No other brands are on the table at this time .

Replacing your 9mm carry gun with a .380 isn't a good thing to do.

Not saying that but now that you mention it, yes I would buy the Bersa instead of the Glock 42 and save $200.

I don't often carry a .380 as my primary defensive weapon, but on occasion will carry my Sig 232SL loaded with Liberty +P's.

Glock 42 for concealed carry . Anybody have any REAL experience with one ? Not looking for a debate on calibers or brands .

For summer carry with a short and t-shirt, I carry my 42.
For winter carry with a bigger shirt or jacket, I carry my 17 or a 19.

I currently have 43 that I carry almost daily. Rides well IWB strong side. The only reason I didn't get a 42 is because I shoot primarily 9mm and don't want to get back into supporting multiple calibers. I've shot my buddy's 42. Feels good, shoots well and very manageable. My buddy carries his almost everyday and seems to like it.

If you get the G42 and sell the G26, then you will end up buying another G26 sometime down the road. The G26 is the kind of gun you always go back to if you remain a Glock fan. They are just too handy and take the greatest variety of mags out there(I love that G18 33 round mag!)
