Well I can't find a straight answer on this: If I have a single registered and legal SBR lower, can I own multiple SBR uppers (for said lower) while simultaneously having regular un used rifle lowers in the same house? Or does that fall under destructive (?) intent? I would hate to have to leave the other short lowers for my SBR at a different location to avoid getting boned by the long d**k of the law.

Long story short yes you can own multiple uppers. Constructive intent/constructive possession is the term you're looking for.
Only one case I've ever heard of when someone sold an SP89 to a cop and included a foregrip and stock with the sale. And the charges were dropped in that case as well.
