Just wondering, does anyone know if you can get a ticket for running a stop sign in a Walmart parking lot?
If the signs are outlined in white, stopping is optional
The store puts up handicap signs just like the stop signs and you can get a ticket for parking there. What's the difference?
Handicap Parking is a violation of city/parish ordinance. Different ticket.
My understanding of ticketing for unauthorized parking in a handicapped space in BR is the signage has to meet all the criteria of the City-Parish ordinance. IOW, just posting a sign or just having the symbol painted on the pavement doesn't cut it as far as getting ticketed goes.
I have a handicapped placard and tend to notice these things.
Didn't we have a member on here that puts up the signs on private property, we talked about this before
I have seen a successful lawsuit from where someone got hit by someone who ran a stop sign in a parking lot. Judgement was in the 400K territory.
I used to do parking lot striping and signage. So, I know the ADA requirements. Guess what I do now....
