pearl river canal/ west pearl

anyone ever fish pearl river canal off lock 1 or west pearl? going to head out there this weekend looking for bass or some goggle eyes any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have fished the Pearl River Canal off Lock 1 and didn't do much. I did catch two nice white perch once but not much else. During the summer it is a pain with the jet skies and skiers.

Im not a big time fisherman but we launched off of Lock Road 1 and went left going up towards the dam and there is a little swampy looking area area to the left that we caught some a few bass and some perch.
