Anyone going shoot this match this coming Sunday. I heard they might have 4-5 of the stages from the Gator setup up.

Kind of interested in maybe carpooling or following someone to the range if I am able to go.

I would hope you guys would support a local club, but if you need to practice the gator stages before you shoot them, see ya. I will keep Tom in the nuts when i see him. They don't look all that difficult to me, just saying.

Plans scrapped. My wife seems to think I will end up at the casinos after the match without her and it is not worth the week worth of bitching to go there so I will be at EAPS Sunday.

Without any more bashing There is more to that deal than most of you know, and it goes back a while, nuff said. Tom is a friend of mine and he has the right to do what he wants as well, i just don't agree with it.

It is a shame that both Pearlington and EAPS are on the same day....any chance one of the two could move to the 2nd Sunday of the month? You'd probably see the attendance at each match increase. As it is now, much of the local draw is being split between the two. The downside I see is that if EAPS moved to the 2nd Sunday, the LSS Steel match the day before would draw away from the (already limited) set-up crew....not sure if Pearlington would have a similar issue...if not, and Pearlington could move to the 2nd Sunday, I think that would rock! Perhaps it's something "the powers that be" could consider/discuss.

    Nobody asked but...

The whole idea of a match is to evaluate your training and see how you compare to others. I have very little respect for the idea of (or ANYONE)practicing the stages, either at a local or national level. Practice the skills, hone your mental game, do your homework, but shooting the courses (and classifiers) before the match is shameful and is an insult to those who designed it in the first place.

Cowards practice the stages beforehand, PERFORM ON DEMAND and see where you fall, that's the true test.

Thanks Pooter, not trying to be mean, but the top shooters in any action sport got there by hard work and determination. They will whip your ass no matter how much you practice the same course. Shortcuts never truly help.

If I shoot a match I want to know where I rank based on ability, not by previous attempts on the same course. Testing elements of the stage in a smaller match to make sure they work later is a good idea, but man up and shoot your best when it's your turn. The folks who do those things are afraid of the end results before they even show up to the big event. Train to where you are confident in your abilities, and then just go shoot.
