These are the donations that they made in 2008 and 2009: http://members.cox.net/psfnra/LAfundedGrants.htm Look at the number of 4H and other youth shooting and hunting programs they support. The listing for Palo Alto is not for the range per se, it is for the Louisiana State Junior Highpower Program that Palo Alto sponsors. 2010 was no different.

Also, remember to support your local Friends of the NRA events. They do good work supporting the shooting sports.

How is the winner each month being decided?

Like the Kawanis Raffle it's done by the State Lotto numbers, is this similar?

Also there is no need to be present to win right?

We're going to draw one of the tickets out of a hopper. There are only 300 tickets being sold for the raffle. We are lining up our sponsors so that we can draw at a sponsor's place of business on the third Saturday of the month. We'll post the when and what time on the web site ahead of time so folks can come by if they'd like but you won't need to be present to win. We'll post the winning ticket number on the web site and on our Facebook page. Transfers will be made through our FFL sponsors (Accurate Firearms, Bowie's, Hebert's, Jim's and Reynerson's).

It would be great if everyone interested would like our group on Facebook for getting more info about the banquet and the time draws near. We already have 7 guns donated for games and the live auction. Sponsorship opportunities are listed on the web site too.

Banquet will be August 13th at the Crowne Plaza. Individual tickets are $50. Liberty, Table and Master table sponsorships are $250, $550 and $750 respectively.
