The Pelican State Friends of the NRA will be hosting it's 19th annual fund raiser banquet on August 11, 2012. The Annual Banquet will be at the Crowne Plaza on Constitution Avenue. So be sure to mark that date on your 2012 calendar.
Come join us, food, fun, and firearms to promote the shooting sports. What more can you ask for. The monies raised have supported organizations like the local Boy Scouts in numerous parishes, the Louisiana Jr. High Power Team, 4-H Clubs in numerous parishes, NRA Eddie Eagle, Jr. ROTC programs, etc. There will be firearms, art, and sporting equipment for live auction, silent auction, bucket raffels, games, etc.
The Commmittee organized its first banquet in 1994. Since that time, we have raised $465,000 with 5220 attendees to fund local grants in the Baton Rouge area. Since 1994, nationally the NRA Foundation has raised over $160,000,000!!! In 2011, we raised over $78,000 with 595 attendees.
The Pelican State Friends of NRA is a local non-political fund raising group for the NRA Foundation (EIN 52-1710886). The foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization so all donations are deductible to the extent of federal income tax laws. Monies raised are used to support projects such as firearms safety and education programs, shooting range development, and hunter education programs. 45% of all proceeds raised from our banquet will be used to support local projects
