    Is there a shareware version of a personal finance package? Quicken offers Mint but the data is stored online and I'd rather have something strictly local. Any suggestions or should I just go buy Quicken?

    Well, there's GNU Cash, which free/open-source(obviously differs from shareware, but yeah).

    'haven't used it personally, but just throwing it out there.
