Maybe even a glob of JB weld inside?
I had one similar to this years ago. The base of the blade narrowed down to 1/4" at the tang, then continued into the handle. The very tip was threaded for an acorn nut. That held on the cheap metal handle, which eventually broke. It wasn't very sturdy, to say the least.

Excellent for the RV too. It's tough enough, sharp enough, and at $7, cheap enough to have a few arround for all sorts of uses.

On a trip to Canada when I had to toss the Pistol at the border, it was a comfort to have. For hunting and Fishing etc... ;)

Actually once I got my "objector" (.32) back, it still rode up front with me all the way home.

I hate to rag on your knife but it really is not something I would trust my life to. When I was in Rangers I bought one and left my issued blade at home. The handle busted off, all the **** fell out in water and the compass cracked. That was day 1 of a 7 day field exercise. I was pissed. Forget any knife that claims to be a "Survival Knife" as most are shody, made in Pakistan junk. Find a knife with a full tang (Made from one solid piece of metal with a handle wrapped around) and call it a day. I would highly recommend any Ka-Bar, Ontario or traditional Buck knife.
