Out here in Plaquemines Parish there are a few wide open areas around that would be prime for shooting. Does anyone know the rule out here. Is it safe to assume it falls under the 500' from any building and 100' from any road? Or are the laws a bit tighter down here? Any information is helpful.

I would say its pretty safe to say you would be trespassing if its not your property. If it is your property then you are probably safe to shoot there.

There in belle chasse. There is a lot of open land just south of the Joint Reserve Base. Some little roads off Hwy 23 lead back into acres of empty open land.

Depending on where you live in Plaquemines you are not far from the St. Bernard Outdoor range.
