My HK USP .45 didn't think much of shooting the RN lead ammo my dad loaded up for his 1911. Leaded up the barrel and keyholed the target when it actually hit it.

Anyone have any experience with the Rainier 200gr RN plated bullets out of a USP? I'm sure anything that shoots well out of a Glock .45 will do just fine as well.

    Thanks!

I shoot the lead Bayou Bullets with the green coating out of my USP compact and it barely leaves a streak. I would look into those if you want to still stay cost effective.

The owner is dmiculek on here. PM him, he's a nice guy and can give you more info.

Were the ones you were shooting home cast?

Fairly sure they were home cast.

Thanks for the info, I'll hit him up and give them a try.

The key to the bayou bullets is that proprietary green coating. It's pretty awesome. If you are strictly looking to go to plated bullets for cost, I'd definately try these first.

What caliber? I'll give you a handful to try if it's .45 you need.

    Thanks Dave.

Appreciate the offer JM, but I am going to buy 500 and give them a try. Cost is definitely my reason for the plated vs. FMJ. Just looking to do some target shooting/plinking :).

Thanks for the quick replies guys!
