I saw this on a local web site today....as I am just across the lake on the TX side. But the feds do the same thing over at the McFadden refuge as well. Call in "professional" shooters instead of letting local sportsman hunt the hogs.

"U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service personnel will be conducting prescribed burns on Sabine National Wildlife Refuge today in preparation for a feral hog removal operation occurring at the end of the month. According to Jamie Farmer, Fire Management Officer for the Southwest Louisiana National Wildlife Refuge Complex, 13,000 acres within management units 3 and 5 will be targeted. These units are located in the western portion of the refuge along Sabine Lake and north of Johnson Bayou"....http://www.kogt.com/

It irritates me that the hogs will destroy the habitat the feds want to protect and they won't let anyone hunt or trap them....:(
