Oh I'm not shopping mom and pop, I'm selling as mom and pop. The profits I'm making are so obscene it makes me wonder who is dumb enough to suggest to others they should shop mom and pop. People like that are a clear argument humanity is slowly devolving back into cave men.

I feel for the people in the guns and ammo business. They may be looking for other work in the not so distant future. I can understand them trying to make as much as they can while they can. I will not pay thoes prices YET but if we don't get this Nation back on track we may not have a choice but to be at the mercy of the few that have the supply. It does get a bit old to see the shooting community as soon as something happens start to tear apart instead of coming together. The libs are probably laughing their butts off at whats going on.

You obviously don't know me. I am not a Republican or Democrat. My approach to business is long term. I'm in the 3% of wage earners. By the time I retire it will be 1%. Why? Because I treat people right. You should take a clue.

Considering that is the case, do you think it is reasonable to assume people are paying these inflated prices to not have to spend their time scouring the internet waiting on items to come back in stock, or to not wait on the long backorder lines?

One thing many are not taking into account. These dealers are having a difficult time getting any firearms, mags, etc. to sell. This may be a hobby to you, but this business of selling firearms and related merchandise is all many of them have. Yes, the prices are high because the supply is low. They must make a living some how. What happens when they don't have any firearms to sell? I'll tell you. They don't have any income and will close their doors. I gave my dealer four ak's to sell since they didn't have much to put on the table at the Kenner show. I've got plenty because I bought mine when prices were low. I had not planned on selling them, but they had to have something to sell to keep their place at the show. When they can get firearms from their distributors they have to pay more. You don't have to buy from these dealers. You can wait and see what happens. Word from the SHOT Show is that most of the prices will remain high even if this crap blows over.
