Feb. 5th. Yes, it is on Superbowl Sunday. Sorry, can't help it. We'll do our best to get done as early as possible, BUT, Gerald will not be there, so we will be short handed. Anyone with a stage idea is welcome to try it out. Just let me know.

We plan to have some new props, the "Whirly-Gig" (star) and also some new SG targets.

Also, don't forget the work day set for the 3rd Saturday in Feb. Yea, I know it is the day Woolmarket shoots, but we only have so many Saturdays in a month, and the 4th one is a fall back date in case of rain. We don't want to work on the 1st or 2nd Saturdays, then turn around and come back the next day to shoot a match, so these are the days that work best for the most people.

    Hope to see ya there.

    Hey Buzz,

We plan on attending, but we will need to get out of there by 2:00ish so we can get back for SB festivities.

Texas star type of thing, or something different? I'm curious. :)

Texas Star type of thingy. 4 additional auto poppers, (gives us 5 with KZ's) Also 15 new SG targets, and 8 SG/pistol targets.

Please remind me about leaving so we can get you shot through.

Also, we plan to have the "star" and other props at the work day for anyone that wants to practice afterwards.

I was there Sunday. Road was in very good shape. I drove all over and never locked in my front hubs, and I mean all over. (we MAY have a new place for LR:dogkeke: Don't know if we have time for it this week though)

Keep an eye on here, or call Sunday before you leave. If it gets bad, I'll post it here.

ETA: I hope we don't have to cancell. Land, insurance, and targets cost $$$$, reguardles of whether we bring in match fees or not.

Cool. Forecast is for 60% Friday, 70% Saturday, and 40% Sunday.

Could you PM me your phone number? I don't have it.

    Weather/Conditions update:

Whelp, it didn't rain out there at all today-- despite being nasty and overcast the whole time.

The pit itself is remarkably dry-- little soft near the Little House, but very manageable. If the dang sun would come out, it'd probably dry out really quickly...

For the most part, the road is bone dry. However, coming up the grade, it's... soft. I think I left at least 100 yards of clay-colored tread marks when I left out of there. Shouldn't pose a problem to anyone-- certainly not deep, and it didn't require 4WD; just a heads up, so you don't panic if you start to get squirrely.

By the way, if your rifle ammo sticks to a magnet YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SHOOT IT AT RIFLE STEEL, PERIOD!

You may want to check it. I found this after the December match, fortunately no hole burned through an expensive rifle target. If you THINK your ammo is lead core, then it is up to you to prove it, as we do not have time to do it on the line. We will be magnetting ammo, so check before you shoot. (By the way, I caught a shooter at RM3G running steel ammo. Checked his ammo after he shot. Checked his round that came out of his chamber, then checked his mag. He got a match DQ. Kinda pricy thing to do to save a couple $$$ on a case of ammo. Let's see, 325.00 match fee, transportation and lodging, food, and he was with a friend, so he had to stick around while his friend shot the rest of the match.)

According to my rain guage, (a plastic bowl on my sidewalk) we had no rain in Picayune over night. Forecast looks like 10% chance. I plan to drive up in a few minutes to check the road in.

I've been pondering all day what those two things have to do with each other :dunno:

    :D

    Standing by for video......

Did he not have any dry clothes to wear to the crab boil??? Maybe he couldn't shoot cause he needs to dry his ammo??? But what does either have to do with not shooting 3gun!!!!!????:wavey::bigok:

I KNOW he wouldn't skip Poplarville 3gun to eat, cause he always eats (and cooks) at the match.

Many thanks to all that came early to help set up, and stayed late to tear down.

    Hey Buzz or Bill J.,

Could one of you post the raw scores?

I like the the new scoring system with stage points (you'll be able to include zero'd stages), but I'd still like to see the raw scores for an idea of where I need to improve.
