We plan to resume 3gun in Poplarville next weekend, Oct. 6. Four stages.
We plan to start around 9:00 ish.

Check the rules on SMSPS.com. Shooter is responsible for knowing them.

Gerald and Bryant won't be there, so we need some help with set up and tear down.

    Who's in?

Now, let's see what excuse HiCap uses.

You obviously haven't seen some of us shoot. Talk about laughing...

Seriously, we are expecting a decent crowd. If you know anyone interested, them that we have one of the must unusual ranges you will shoot. As Buzz says, know your zero!

I just checked the weather and its supposed to be a 50% chance of rain on Sunday. Do you guys usually cancel for any rain or just if its bad? I wanted to know because I'm coming all the way from Lafayette and would hate to get there and it be canceled. Also, does it tend to get really muddy after a rain? Bring boots muddy?

I posted the other day that I am attending, but the post got deleted. Anyway, I'm still planning on attending. Buzz, I've got your IPSC plates in my truck.

We do shoot in a gravel pit, with a red clay hill to drive up to get in. Yes it gets VERY muddy. If it rains late the afternoon before, we will prob. cancel, as it can be quite a challenge for anything less than 4wd to get in.

vsound, looking forward to getting them, and getting some $$ to you. Thanks.

As BJ said, know your zero. Also, always bring a sling, you will need it.

Hoping the weather co-operates. Been a while since Poplarville 3gun was up and running.

And, before anyone asks, farthest rifle shot will be.......................................................wait for it.............................................
    less than a mile.

    Hope to see ya there.

Not looking good right now with TS Karen projected to hit the MS Gulf coast on Sunday morning. Fingers crossed hoping that she changes course and goes more to the east.

Awww, and here I was looking forward to a mile+ shot........

As much as I was looking forward to this match, with the forcast and the need to get in as much USPSA pistol as I can before the Gator, looks like I'll have to skip it.

    See y'all next month.

Bring a couple boxes bird shot and a few slugs, that should do it. We do use buck shot once in a blue moon so I try to keep a little bit of every thing in my backpack

Just got back from the range. Everything is set up except for stapling the targets. No rain as of 6 PM, so the road is fine. Check back here and the web site for the final decision, no later than 7 AM.

    Match is on!

It's 7 AM and the road in is dry. We are completing setup right now. It is not raining and radar looks reasonably promising. Come on out!

It's looking like we might get a shower this morning so the hill could be slick getting up there, so if anyone needs a hand getting up the hill call me I'll come down and pick you up
