A coworker of mine brought this letter that her boyfriend got in the mail and asked if I thought it was legit, lol. Looks a lot like the "free flat screen TV" sting that busted a bunch of outstanding warrants a while back.

I like the last line about "only the recipient being in attendance"

I cropped out his name and info from the top. I checked out the website too and it looks like it was built in about 10 minutes using GoDaddy's website builder.

It smells fake. Who is Roger McNamara? The name rings a bell...and he's not listed on that website. Looks like they built it out of odd scraps from the internet, except for the movie on the homepage.

A lot of inconsistencies with photo size and quality

The only "William Passons" that is the head of an organization is in Chattanooga, TN

    How exactly were they picked?

so if ya'll think its a sting then he must have warrants... why help him?

The way I see it is you haven't hear anything about this on the news(tv. radio or paper) so it's probably not legit. Something like this would have people talking.

I don't know the guy and he probably does have some bench warrants for unpaid tickets or something; he's got something if he got this letter. She brought this letter and I had a good laugh at someone's lousy attempt to doop a bunch of people. If your significant other got something like this in the mail would you tell them to go?
