Anybody reloading with IMR 8208 powder? Looking for opinions on its performance, powder measure flow-ease, versatility of loading multiple calibers of rifle cartridges. You know, like a universal powder. I have used IMR 4895 with great success on multiple calibers but am thinking of adding .223 to my loading bench and can see powder flow problems on the horizon.

For .223 loads using 52gr to 62gr bullets I use H335. It's a spherical powder that meters fairly well though a Dillon measure. For 69gr and up there are better powders out there.

It tend to load for precision so I mostly use extruded powders.
    Accurate 2015 for 52gr
    Reloader 15 for 69, 77, 80.

For bulk ball loads it's H335 with Hornady 55s.

    I use IMR4064 for my .223's
it works fine but my only issue is that is sometimes the cartridge seems a little too full of powder. Just have to be careful when setting the bullet. Just my $0.02

No direct experience with this powder but it was developed for the 223 and is supposed to be free flowing for easy metering. IMR claims this to be just the ticket for 223. They claim "tack driving accuracy " with it. Sounds good.

Thanks for the input everyone. I did ready the info on the Hodgdon site about the IMR8208 and that is why I was looking for someone who had already tested it. Again, I like a broad spectrum powder that delivers good performance in the widest range possible. It gives me more options and less clutter on my small reloading bench.
