The model on the right, Katie Piper, had acid thrown in her face by an attacker not long ago. I was watching a documentary about her on a cable channel yesterday. She is a remarkable young lady who has started a foundation to help others who have been disfigured for whatever reason. It was a very interesting and remarkable story.

Added: I mean that in a positive way. Technology has come some far and what doctors can do today is AMAZING!! Just look at the bamboo!!

I watched the same documentary (wife had the remote). Very ****ed up story, very strong woman. And still very pretty considering.

For those too lazy to look up the story, she had dated a psycho dude for a couple weeks when he became violent with her. She decided to avoid him and stayed in her apartment for a couple days. Then the guy calls her and tells her to go to the internet cafe and read a message he sent. She agrees, and he keeps her on the phone. As soon as she walks out of her building a guy the psycho boyfriend hired throws sulphuric acid in her face. The psycho boyfriend wanted to hear it happen. Did I mention he is a psycho?
