    **** **** ****.

Glen Beck has now covered it.

    Doomed.

I hate how that article states it's illegal to print a /whole/ gun

What a bunch of bull **** ignorance.

BOHICA... here the gun grabbers come again... much like Yeager made his rounds, Glen Beck's episode here will make it's rounds too.

SLA is a bad process for it, and until the process improves its a novelty.

    DMLS on the other hand...
lol DMLS would be mustache titties, but not exactly hobby grade.

SLA sucks but it's the only thing feasible in the 'hobby grade' realm, and so it's the only thing this 'niche' cares about. It will never be productive to even consider a "3d printing" process for production except in situations where it's all you can do. That might be because of limited resources, tyrannical legislation, or because you just have a big throbby hardon for SLA and are a fun enthusiast, and combining the two gets you off.

I fall a /little/ bit into the last bit, about being interested in it for the heck of it. But in all honestly, forged blanks and a tabletop CNC are a more productive route to go, with little more investment. The 3d printing thing is novelty. I think it's a neat novelty though.
