I would like to purchase a Smith&Wesson m&p Ar15 and convert it to 300blk. How hard would it be to swap the 5.56 barrel out with a 300 blk one. Is this something the normal person can do or is it pretty hard? Also, if anyone had it done by someone else , what did it cost.. Thanks in advance..

It's fairly simple, assuming you're any bit mechanically inclined. The proper tools make all the difference, you need a good vice, vice block for the upper, and an AR tool at a minimum.

Its easy. Vice and vice block to hold the upper receiver is most important as previously mentioned. I just got a .300 BLK upper, I like it but now I need to get into reloading as that ammo is pricey when available. Good luck.
