Question about schools and gun free zones.

I do copy machine repair for a living an have to service machines at various schools in my parish. I was reading another post and was wondering if I have my gun in my glove box can I be arrested if my vehicle is on school property/ gun free zone? I have read §95.2. and if I am reading Section c #5 correctly I am good to go. I just want to be 100% sure and not get into trouble. Thanks

As long as it stays in your vehicle you're good. According to what you read they consider it an extension of your home.

I just don't like not having it in the car while traveling and now we do a lot of work at schools.

I would say you would be legal under La law but that doesn't mean a LEO that doesn't know the law might still arrest you.

I think your covered as well. You could always keep a copy of 95.2 printed in your vehicle just in case. I think most LEO's know or would be able to quickly look this up. But if dealing with some really small PD in the middle of nowhere, I guess you never know.
