Question about Winchester Model 1300

I have one I bought in 12 ga. over 20 yrs ago with the 26" barrel. Will an 18" defender barrel work on it? I think it is a 5 shot without the plug if this makes a difference. Would like to get a shorter barrel and use it for HD if it will work. Thanks!

I'm just worried the barrel loop will not be in the right place since it's a 5 shot, not an 8 shot. Anyone?

I think you're right. I have a 1300 Defender and the only way I see that it *might* work would be with a mag extension that the barrel loop could fit over.
