My mom has given me the sound system they had in the entertainment room. I don't have the exact model numbers, but I will in a few hours. I know it is comprised of 4 very high quality B&W bookshelf speakers, (I believe) a twenty inch sub, and a brand new Dennon receiver we spent about 4-500 on about a year ago. When we purchased all this year's ago it was a top of the line system which retailed into the thousands. My question is how much does a high quality sound system depreciate over the years?

I'll update the post with relevant information a little after noon.

Receiver's all depend on the feature set, and by now a refurb version of the same receiver can be had for a few hundred less than the new price and they usually come with a warranty. Good speakers don't usually depreciate that much, and when they do its usually based on usage time and not some "newer" model thing. Used audio equipment is all about finding the right buyer...or sucker.

Here is what I have. What would be considered fair pricing?
    4x B&W DM 602 S2 bookshelf speakers
    1x B&W CC6 S2 center speaker
    1x M&K v-125 Subwoofer
    1x Denon AVR-e400

Ah lol no, I just dropped 2k on a bose system this spring to compliment the 65" tv I got for christmas lol. I'm good, and hopefully for a long time. I read your post more as a "I have no idea what its worth", didn't realize you were trying to sell.

It's a heckuva nice system though, did you hook it up and test it? I ask cause you may decide to keep it lol.

It's been in the same house I lived in with my parents for awhile. They bought It new a few years back. Only ever used it when we watched movies which wasn't often. Dad passed a few months ago and mom just sold the house and gave it to me. I have no room in my apartment for it, so she said I can sell and get cash.

Just noticed the WTS listing, so I deleted my guess above at value. Good luck with the sale!

And yeah it puts football and movies on a whole new level.

No doubt. We had it paired with a 65inch 240htz before the move. It was epic. Americans spend a lot of damn time watching TV. Might as well do it right.
