Question on handgun transfer

I am from Mississippi. I am prohibited from buying handguns from FFLs/dealers outside the state (specifically focused on Louisiana), but what about individuals? Anyone know this?

you aren't legally able to do it. But the thing about private trades. They are private. Just saying.

But as per law you must have a private trade resident to resident.

You don't have to answer if you don;t want to, but why would this be the case?

I am pretty sure that legally, no one can buy a handgun from a dealer unless they are a resident of the state that the dealer is in. As for a private transaction, I am pretty sure that you can buy FTF as long as you reside in LA or in a state bordering LA.

If you are an out of state resident and want to buy from a private party across your state line you MUST go to a dealer/FFL and have him call it in !!!!

You cannot go across state lines and do a FTF without doing so
