I thought a sabot had the plastic on the inside? To me this is the opposite? Could be wrong that's why I'm asking

That appears to be a 30/06 accelerator round. 30/06 on outside 224 bullet on the inside.

Essentially turns your 30-06 into a 220 Swift, for whatever purpose you might want.

I used a bunch of Accelerators when I was stationed in Idaho on BIG Jack rabbits. Same accuracy as 30-06 but the devastation was horrible. The box said they wouldn't cycle semi autos, but fortunately my M1 never learned to read.

They were also made in 308 and 30-30. I think. Maybe.

I think i have an old box of those laying around still.

Fun round on small stuff. My old remmy would lose a little accuracy with them but they still shot well.
