Radar Detector Thread Spinoff - WAZE App for iPhone

How many folks on here are using the WAZE app on their phones?
It's basically a GPS app where users send in reports of traffic, wrecks, and police locations.
I use it every time I travel to NOLA. No tickets yet.
It's also great on the drive home because it shows wrecks and traffic congestion.
It just doesn't seem as popular in BR as in New Orleans.

I'd also like to hear some LE opinions on this app.

Eh, I've had it open once or twice here and there but it's never done anything for me. I always check the traffic cameras when I'm traveling long distances. And I've driven the same roads so much that I've learned where cops like to hide. It just seems like there's usually someone here and there and a pattern develops.

I have a few friends who will actively go on there and post fake things and delete others. They think it's entertaining and quite frankly I do too haha.

I use it for longer trips (vacations mostly)...it saved me a few times on my trip to Disney.

Eh. They're mostly changing the things that involve hiding places, if you catch my drift.

My wife (Galaxy Note 2) and I (Galaxy Note 3) both use it quite a bit. I have bought all of the popular GPS apps and this one seems to be the best for our needs. It just works!

The State of Louisiana (DOTD) also offers an app called "Way To Geaux" that gives verbal traffic updates near you using GPS in a robotic chick voice.
