Redbone Coon Hounds

My sons dog recently passed the week of Thanksgiving. He was a great friend (springer spaniel). RIP Bullet.

My son has mentioned that eventually when we get a new dog he wanted to possibly get a Redbone and hopefully hunt coons with him.

Anyone have any experience with this breed?

Anyone know of any reputable Redbone breeders within 100 miles or less of Slidell?


We have been watching lots of YouTube videos of redbone and he's pretty sure that is what he wants next.

We considered a Bluetick but think we want the shorter hair like a Redbone.
