I saw a new one at BJ Pawn in Denham a few weeks ago for 599. From what I have seen this is/was a good price.

I've handled one. For the price, it felt like a deal. Very solid lockup and smooth. Not a rattle to it. No wiggle to the one I handled, compared to the RI ones. Would have considered it, but had just bought a Springfield.

These and the Desert Eagle 1911s seem to be made very well and are good alternatives to the GI Springfield if you want something else.
