Remington - Faulty Fire Control?

Have you guys ever experienced anything like this? Heard about it?

This has been around for some time how. All I can say is I have owned one 870, two 1100's and two model 700 rifles and have never had a problem with the fire control systems or anything else for that matter. I don't know if it makes any difference but mine are all older models with the newest one bought in the mid 90's.
