Remington Model 81 - 35 Remington

I just got a new rifle. It is a Remington Model 81 that was made in 1938. Anyone have one?

Has that rifle been refinished? It's condition is really good.

Don't believe its ever been refinished. Ares, how does it shoot? Mine won't be in until Friday

I have had it a few years and have never shot it. LOL!
Got it from my Uncle when he passed. I took it apart,cleaned it, did
a little research on it, bought some ammo and put it all
in the safe. Have to range trip it soon.

My brother has one. Killed many deer with it (I would assume it's killed hogs, too). He still shoots it but, not as much as he did when he was younger - said parts are getting scarce.

Very nice looking example - like to hear your range report.
