Removing slide from a PPK/S

I just got a PPK/S and cannot get the slide off. Does anyone have any tips for a really stubborn one? Yes I know how to do it, I have had a Makarov for over 25 years and break it down without any problem.

Start w. an empty gun. Pull the trigger guard down, move the slide to the rear about 1/2 in. Then lift the slide off.

Like I said, that isn't working.

Actually, you have to pull the slide all of the way to the rear. They can be a PITA when they're not well broken in. Good luck!

I put a rubber mat on the edge of a table and jerked down so the bottom of the retracted slide hit on it and it came off finally.
