I'm beginning my search for a replacement stock for my Rem SPS Tactical .308. I've started shooting F/TR matches and have been considering the Manners T2A with their Mini-Chassis installed. Does anyone have one I could check out in the Baton Rouge area?

Any other stock suggestions or opinions would be appreciated.

I love Manners' stocks. I don't have a T2, but I do have a MCS-T, a GAT, and a T4A that you're welcome to check out. A few of us will be out shooting Saturday morning at Palo Alto so if you can make it, let me know ahead of time and I'll be sure to have whichever you'd like to see with me. I'm also a Manners dealer, so let me know if you have to order one and I may be able to work you a deal.

That said, you can't go wrong with a McMillian either.

Basically there are a metric **** ton of options for the Rem 700.

Three of the most popular are McMillan, Manners who both offer various models and AICS

Other choices include Bell and Carlson, KWM SENTINEL, XLR Chassis, JP AMCS Chassis, Eberlestock Chassis and I am sure there are others.

Usually true F class stocks have VERY wide forends to lay flat on the mechanical bipods. These are usually heavy guns with long barrels 30" or so but if you have shot a few matches I guess you already know this. The options I listed are more along the F/TR lines.

HS Precision makes a good pillar bedded stock that is adjustable for lop and comb height. It's the pro series 2000 stock. It has two swivel studs and a full length aluminum block. I had one on my rem 700 pss 308 back in the day and now have a HS Pro 2000 HTR in 308 with the stock. I like it better than the old McMillans we had on our m40s back in the day.

Don't have any personal experience with the B&C or Manners but have only heard good about them on dens in-r-netz.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll check those out. Ritten brought out a few to see, and I'm really liking the Manners even more. Now comes Project funding!
