My father is also a retired leo and has expressed an interest in beginning to carry again. I know since he is a retired state leo, he has the right, once he qualifies. Does he have to qualify with the exact type of weapon his old dept was/is carrying, or is it his weapon of choice as long as he qualifies with it on the POST course?
