Yes thats Jack McCauley. He is making very compelling arguments after retiring. When testifying in 2013 to a MD state congressional committee he was asked what impact on crime the new law banning ar-15s, M1A etc... would have. He was told not to answer the delegate's question by an O'Malley administration lawyer. He had to listen as he worked for the gov. as a trooper.
Watch out for Martin O'Malley in the 2016 presidential run. He is nothing but bad news. His 38 tax increases, including taxing the rain, helped push me out of Maryland.
Here is a link to McCauley's 2015 testimony.

Thank you for sharing this. This is incredibly important for people to see. I live in Baltimore right now and from what I've heard, getting a CHP here (unless you're a lawyer, doctor, politician, celebrity, or otherwise someone high profile that people are going to recognize and want to go out of their way to kill) is nearly impossible. I asked a friend of mine about his handgun and how he got it and he said that it's an absolute nightmare, but if you want to wait a LONG time and jump through seemingly endless hoops, then you can own one. Getting a CHP is another story.

samdajellybeenie, sorry you had to move to that state. You now are deep in one of the last holdout battleground states. The rest of the country is well past where MD is with 2A rights and carry. There was good momentum to get things changed in the 2014 elections. Baltimore politicians even felt the shift and took note in the 2014 elections. The more people involved in MD fighting the infringements you currently are up against the better. Please get involved in whatever way you can with the following groups while you are a MD citizen. MD is not a state that 2A groups have big political clout so the entrenched legislature will get away with as much as they can even if they know full well it will be overturned by a judge.

WildBill, luckily, I'm still a Louisiana citizen. I'm just here for college, but I have no idea where my chosen career path will take me after that. It may take me to Texas, but maybe even California, you never know!
