My old Daddy was a US Military Intelligence Officer in Europe during the end of WW-II. When the Allied victory was in sight, he was given an assignment to interview various folks in an effort to determine how Germany, a democratic, highly industrialized, Christian nation had succumbed to NAZI domination.
His distilled finding was that, during the period between WW-I & WW-II, a group of financiers, including many Jews, had gained such control of the government and citizens' lives, acting against the will of the German population, that it was relatively easy for Hitler, a consummate populist and powerful speaker, to demagogue ALL Jews, blame the "Jewish Masters" for most of the continuing economic woes, and rapidly take control.
What we are seeing here now has many parallels to pre-War Germany.
We have a regime, elected through trickery, that is riding roughshod over citizens' lives and properties.
Yes, the stage for this was set by decades of both parties' corruption and use of the tax code for social experimentation.
The democrats have long fostered class-envy & class-warfare, going further & further left.
Previous congresses have set many economic time-bombs, several of which are about to go off. Not the least of these is the very generous but completely unfunded federal retirement program.
We have an extremely unpopular President, who "doesn't get it" and can't see the rancor building. He has appointed "Czars" and given them tremendous unconstitutional powers over citizens' lives.
A whopping 47% of US households no longer pay any income taxes, and many actually get government payments in the form of a "negative income tax". All while the productive half of the population bleeds more and more and federal debt threatens to bankrupt our Nation and shrink our retirement nest eggs.
We have suffered decades of government favoring some groups over others, with "affirmative action", "set-asides", "entitlements", and quota systems.
We are suffering rapid growth of our bloated federal bureaucracy, with our "ruling class" being paid over twice for government work what similar non-governmental jobs provide.
We are having stupid federal programs forced down our throats by those who ignore our pleas and our Constitution.
The pressure cooker is heating up and will explode soon. The will of the American People cannot continually be ignored.
Now, Congressional Democrats are scheming to grant immediate US citizenship to ALL illegal aliens, in time for them to vote in the upcoming November election. I believe that will be the last straw for most Americans.
Sounds like a revolution is building to me.
