Since when do drugstores have metal detectors? So very annoying...both ways.

I'll add, it's very definitely a merchandising checkpoint operating as a metal mass detector.

You may live in a bad area if your drug stores have metal detectors....

    also Security guards.

I wouldn't call Towne Center a bad part of town just yet though. The store employees didn't appear to know/care either.

They have been in Walgreens on the corner of Hwy 447 and Hwy 190 in Walker since the store opened.
Never bothered me and hardly a high crime area.

Go in and out of rite aid/cvs/walgreens regularly with lots of metal and never seen this.

This one isn't hitting on everything. 4" pocketknife is good, Kahr CW9 isn't. Metal watch, ok. 18650 flashlight, no bueno. Feels like it's mimicking the courthouse detectors.

It's a RF system so you may have a small paper looking sensor tag in the bottom of your shoe that wasnt removed when you bought them that might be setting it off.. or in your wallet or a belt buckle

Pretty sure my stuff is tag free, but I'll check anyway. Everything I wear is manufacturer direct.

That would make more sense than a metal detector. Detectors would be useless unless someone is manning the front door...and then inquiring why it beeps whenever you walk in.

I found the culprit. It's a RF tag on a card I use to get management access on time clocks.

I wonder if I messed up the inventory tracking system? Unlikely, but even more so that I would get a cross between merchandise addressing and management addressing on an RF card.
