I'm looking to get a lever action rifle in .44 mag. The price of the Rossi is the main reason I'm considering them. I've never owned anything Rossi and they seem to have mixed reviews online. Looking for personal experiences with them. I'm going to be using the rifle for a brush gun, not cowboy action shooting
    Thanks

I have one of those multi barreled crack back single shots for my kid. Ejecter stopped working long ago. Friend of mine had exact same model and his firing pin would indent the primer of the cartridge but not detonate the powder.

    They were .243, 20 ga, and .22lr.

    They were inexpensive. Soooooo.

I have a pre-safety Rossi Model 92 lever action carbine in .45 Colt. Bought it used from another cowboy shooter several years ago. It had an action job when I got it. Love the gun. Have never benched it to see what kind of groups I'd get, but for plinking offhand at metal targets, it's loads of fun. Never a hiccup. I can recommend a Rossi without reservation.

I have The .243 barreled one and it is okay. Had a few problems with it not ejecting and light striking but that also could have been the ammo. They're definitely worth what you pay for though.
