dunno what the grip pattern is on yours, but I had a compact and the grip pattern was too aggressive for me to comfortably carry concealed IWB in the summer. that's all I have to offer for a negative. Other than that, it was a great pistol with no problems.
Trigger really depends on which "generation" you pick up...I had a Version 1.1 - post-recall with round mag release - and the trigger was fairly smooth but heavy...The newest version - the 1.2 - with the D-shaped mag release - is supposed to have a better, i.e. lighter, trigger...
I put over 500 rounds through mine- mainly WWB, Monarch Brass and Federal Champion - and I never had a single FTF/FTE...It is boringly reliable and will go bang every time you pull the trigger...
It was as accurate as I was and was very easy to handle/easy to shoot...
It's under-rated and a very good gun for the price...
I carry the sr9c mostly and have putten 1500+ rounds through it without a problem. A buddy of mine has a sr9 and hasn't had any problems. I actually think that he is selling it because he wants a compact to carry, but it is a great gun.
I have a first generation the SR9. The trigger has a slight gritty feel and it's a bit strong. It's that plastic on plastic feel when you pull the trigger. Rub two credit cards together slowly and you'll get the same feel. Ghost makes drop-in trigger kits ($15) that are supposed to eliminate that feel. I just haven't gotten around to ordering the kit. It's not that big of a deal. The trigger feels much like, but slightly heavier than the one on my 10/22.
The latest generation SR9/SR9c have better triggers...it's like night and day from the 1st generation SR9s. Very crisp and accurate trigger. Slim profile and adjustable rear and front sights standard. Very comfortable grip and perfectly balanced IMO.
