Two Russian Su-27 aircraft conducted an unsafe and unprofessional intercept with a U.S. Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance unmanned MQ-9 aircraft that was operating within international airspace over the Black Sea, March 14, 2023.

I almost guarantee those pilots took it down on a bet. They didn't fire on it, they screwed around trying to knock it down. They probably got chewed out for putting their aircraft at risk...

Didn't some Cuban Migs take down a couple Cessna 172's several years ago off the coast of Florida. Don't think either is much of an accomplishment to brag about!!!

Unless they're sand bagging in Ukraine they shouldn't be much of a threat as long as no one goes nuclear. I don't see the US going to war with Russia but if it happens it will have to be managed very carefully.

Russians take down drone without firing a shot. US misses a 200 feet wide balloon with 1/2 million dollar missile. We’re in trouble if the new generation of our fighting force (especially leadership) has to go toe to toe with a powerful nation. God Help Us.

Uh, the SU came up from behind the drone (more than one pass) dumped fuel on it and eventually made contact, damaging the prop. Have you seen the video?
