S&W 13-4 Help with info.

I picked this up pretty cheap on impulse buy. Locks up tight finish a little worn but looks nice with no freckles. I was trying to find out more info on it but can't really find much off serial number range with about 30 min or so of looking. I know I could go to S&W forums but I like you guys better. Any info appreciated. Without further delay here is your redneck porn.

The -4 change was in 1988. They went 9 years before the next change and were discontinued in 1999.

4" Heavy barrel should be a good shooter.

Not so much. They came with 3" & 4" barrels and round & square butt configurations.

I didn't see any, but there aren't any import marks from Century Arms (C.A.I.) are there?

A large number of 13's were issued to the Hong Kong Police and now they're being imported back into the US.

No import marks anywhere. Wondering if it wasn't factory rebuilt at some point. I may haave to fill out the form. Sometimes just cool to know about it. Not that it will ever find a new home as I've fallen for the old girl.
