It was epic to say the least. Anyone around BR needs to go to Rave and watch it in IMAX 3D. Visually it was near perfection. Story was good. A great adventure film like LOTR, except a little more lighthearted and humorous.

Thanks for the report- I'm guessing you hadn't read the book?

If you don't mind giving it away, at what point in the story did the movie end?

It was a good movie and I am glad they broke it into 3 movies. This allows them to get provide a lot more detail throughout the movie and follow the story. It ended after the goblin cave. Don't want to provide more details than that as it could ruin the movie for others. IMAX 3D was great though.

I downloaded the book last night, since it was cheap and I had some gift card balance on my nook. Hope I like it, I don't usually read too fanciful stuff, so we'll see.
