Not sure where to ask this: optics, rifles competition or hunting.
I have a savage 308 with burris fullfield lrs. It is sighted in at 100 yards. My question is can I move the scope backward for better eye relief without having to sight the scope in again. I am very happy with the the placement of my shots and don't want to mess those up, but I am not comfortable stretching so far forward to get good eye relief while shooting. This is being used for deer hunting not competition.

I'd say, depending on your rings, that it "probably" won't make much of a difference, but if you fiddle with the scope at all, you should confirm zero before I try to shoot an animal.

Thanks for the info. I didnt think to look at the rings and see if I had room too move it back or not. The stock it polymer/plastic can that be cut down seemed like it was hollow.
